Aerospace manufacturer Boeing officially opened its new research center in Seoul, promising to attract local engineers to accelerate the Fourth Industrial Revolution, according to UNN.
The Korean Boeing Engineering and Technology Center at ASEM Tower in south Seoul is the seventh Boeing Research Center built overseas. The remaining six are based in Australia, Brazil, China, Spain, India and Russia. The Seoul Center was established in accordance with an agreement signed by the city government and Boeing last year.
"The center will create jobs not only in the ASEM tower, but also in other areas that contribute to the development of aerospace production in Korea," said Eric John, head of Boeing Korea, at the opening ceremony.
