Description
The laboratory was formed in 2013 as a result of the merger of the thermodynamic foundations laboratory of inorganic materials science (founded in 1991 by Academician Lazarev Vladislav Borisovich by the reorganization of the laboratory of chemical thermodynamics) and the laboratory of dispersed materials.Main areas of work
Physico-chemical basis for the creation of new materials spintronics based on semiconductors AIIBV, AIIIBV, AIIBVI and AIIIBIVCV2.
The study of multilayer submicron structures of III – V solid solutions with the aim of creating devices for various purposes (lasers, photodiodes, sensors) on their basis.
Synthesis and study of fine crystalline pure and doped oxides in a wide range of crystal sizes (0.02-300 μm) with desired properties. Creation on their basis of new catalysts, phosphors, special ceramics, abrasives, polymer composites.
Directed synthesis of complex oxides with different types of conductivity and magnetic ordering. Creation of multiphase oxide composites for heterogeneous catalytic conversion.
The most significant results
The epitaxial layers of InP and solid solutions of InGaAsP doped with Sn, Te, and Zn were grown. The dependence of the effect of the ligature on the mobility of charge carriers is revealed. Growth on InP profiled surfaces has been investigated.
As a result of studying the synthesis of magnetic semiconductors, it was found that the main contribution to the formation of the magnetic properties of In and Ga doped antimonides is made by clusters, the composition and Curie temperature of which vary depending on the content of alloying elements.
A technology has been developed for producing powdered aerogels of hydroxide and alumina and magnesia. The possibility of their use for thermal insulation, fire extinguishing agents, as an additive in ceramic raw materials is considered. Phase states of Li / W / Mn / SiO2 composites obtained by various methods were studied: solid-phase synthesis, silica impregnation, sol-gel synthesis.
