Main areas of workThe study of thermodynamics, kinetics of chemical reactions, thermodynamic and structural characteristics of various classes of compounds - oxides, oxide multicomponent systems, semiconductor, coordination compounds with organic ligands, fullerides. The work uses mainly methods of high-temperature mass spectrometry, solid-state NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy and laser mass spectrometry.
The most significant results
The thermodynamic characteristics of systems based on zinc and tin oxides, necessary for the synthesis of functional materials with high sensory, optical, catalytic properties, were obtained for the first time.
A systematic study of the evaporation of coordination compounds of metals with pivalic acid and a number of β-diketones, promising precursors for the production of thin-film material with unique physical and chemical properties, has been carried out. The structure of the free Co4OPiv6 molecule was solved for the first time by gas electron diffraction and quantum chemical calculation.
A new original method has been developed for determining the standard enthalpies of formation of pivalate metal complexes based on the measurement of the heats of heterophase reactions by the DSC method.
An express method was developed for determining the content of oxygen isotopes (16O, 17O, 18O) in water, based on the use of Tc-99 NMR spectroscopy. This technique is important in the diagnosis of cancer in the early stages.
